GHA 24 Melrose 31

The first half of this BT Premiership 1 match was dominated by penalty kicks with James Noonan kicking two for GHA and Scott Ruthven kicking four for Melrose. Alec Clark scored a try after three minutes and Calum MacRae scored another at 12 minutes, Ruthven converting one of them. James Eddie scored his first try for GHA with Noonan converting.
Half time - GHA 13 Melrose 24.
Eddie scored his second try at 57 minutes and with Noonan kicking two more penalties at 69 & 74 minutes the scores were then level. Deep into "injury time" quick thinking by scrum half Johnny Weston set up the winning try by Geoff Caldwell which Ruthven converted.
