Boroughmuir 30 Melrose 20

This was the last BT Premiership match of the season with 3rd place in the league the reward for the winners. Both teams were fielding reserves with Melrose also competing in the Langholm Sevens. With only three minutes on the clock Dougie Brown raced over for a try for the hosts, but four minutes later Wayne Mitchell scored a try, converted by Scott Wight to give Melrose the lead. James Reilly kicked a penalty at 17 minutes, four minutes later Andy Hadden scored a try and a further five minutes later Reilly kicked his second penalty. Just on the interval Wight kicked a penalty.
Half time - Boroughmuir 16 Melrose 10.
At 52 minutes Wight kicked a drop goal, but almost immediately thereafter Freddie Lait scored a try converted by Alan Sievewright. Sievewright converted Rory Couper's try at 63 minutes to end the Boroughmuir scoring. Late in the match Ross Miller drove over for a try converted by Wight.
