This BT Premiership match was played on a fine afternoon with a cool breeze blowing the length of the pitch and with the weather being much better than the standard of rugby. Into the wind Scott Ruthven kicked penalties at 10 & 12 minutes. At 26 minutes Mark Robertson barged over for a try, breaking several tackles, near the posts, converted by Ruthven.

One minute into the second half Brian Archibald kicked a penalty. There was no more scoring until 70 minutes when Sam Parlane crossed for a try converted by Archibald. Ruthven completed the scoring kicking a drop goal just on no-side.
