Melrose 11 Watsonians 15

The penultimate BT Premiership match was played in springlike conditions. Eight minutes into the match James King kicked a penalty. After 27 minutes a Karne Kaufana clearance was charged down by James Easton who scored a try converted by Bernard Hennessy. King kicked his second penalty at 30 minutes and, two minutes later Bruce Ruthven crossed for a try in the corner. Hennessy ended the first half scoring deep into injury time kicking a penalty.

Seven minutes into the second half Easton scored his second try pouncing on a loose ball from a poorly taken quick line-out throw. Despite the efforts of both teams this proved to be the last score of the match.
