Well into the first half of this Premiership 1 match Neil McComb crossed for a Home team try, and, four minutes later Craig Edwards put Melrose on the scoresheet with a try converted by Scott Wight.Ten minutes after this, and just before the interval, Callum Anderson scored the second Melrose try, again converted by Wight. Two "easy" penalty misses and a knock-on with the line at their mercy did not help the Melrose cause, leaving the half time score closer than it ought to have been.

Seven minutes into the second half Graham Thomson scored a try for Dundee. The defences were on top for the rest of the match until the last minute when McComb scored his second try, converted by Cammy Ferguson.
