Melrose 6 Aberdeen GSFP 23

Escaping the worst of the weather this BT Scotland Premiership match was played on a cold afternoon with blustery showers,a diagonal wind and a slippery pitch. Four minutes after the start Ian Stanger rolled round the front of a lineout to score Aberdeen's first try, and, fourteen minutes later, Andrew Wilson copied this to give Aberdeen a ten point lead. Scott Ruthven kicked a penalty at 25 minutes before Murray Strang increased the Aberdeen lead with a similar score.
Half time Melrose 3 Aberdeen 13.
12 minutes into the second half Strang scythed through the Melrose defence before passing to Rob Seib for a try beside the posts. At 31 minutes Ruthven kicked his second penalty. Then, just on no-side, Ben Prescott scored Aberdeen's fourth, and bonus point, try.
