Beach Rugby Winners

Melrose RFC were the winners on Saturday 12th June of the first ever Scottish Beach Rugby Tournament held on the Island of Islay. The tournament sponsored by Bowmore Whisky was played in glorious sunshine on the beautiful beach at Port Ellen and attracted a large crowd. Twelve teams from all over Scotland including the Scottish Legends and the professional side Glasgow Warriors, who Melrose beat in the final, attended. The event was a huge success and the squad are all keen to return next year and defend the Bowmore trophy.
