Rugby Sevens Success for Melrose U16's

Melrose under 16’s beat Langholm to win bowl final of Crawford Estates under 16 Sevens Championship at Netherdale on Friday 27 April. The match was played at half time during the Border Reivers match. Both teams played some enterprising ‘sevens’ rugby with Melrose running out clear winners by 24 pts. to 10pts. Well played Melrose.

The bowl was presented, at the end of the Reivers match by the Reiver’s captain Chris Cusiter and John Crawford. The Melrose squad was - Chris Dodds, Richard Ferguson, Mark Stewart, Craig Smith, Bruce Colvine, Chris Rome, Calum Brodie, Neil Vint, Robbie Shirra-Gibb, Kieran Owen and Rhhauri MacLeod
